School of Western Herbal Medicine (Phytotherapy)

Welcome to the School of Western Herbal Medicine at Pacific Rim College. We offer both full-time and part-time study options for our diploma programs and a certificate program found nowhere else in Canada. The curricula for the diplomas program meets or exceeds the standards of various recognizing bodies around the world.

Phytotherapy Programs Offered at Pacific Rim College

Diploma of Phytotherapy - a 6-semester program that explores the medicinal uses of North American and European herbs. The program is comprised of both theoretical and practical courses, implementing advantages of hands-on study of plants. more>>

Community Herbalist Certificate - a unique 4-month program that introduces students to the incredible world of plants and their medicinal uses from various cultures. more>>

Dual Diplomas of Acupuncture and Phytotherapy - a 5-year program that combines our 3-year Diploma of Acupuncture program with our 3-year Diploma of Phytotherapy program. more>>

Dual Diplomas of Phytotherapy and Holistic Nutrition- a 5-year program that combines our 3-year Diploma of Phytotherapy program with our 3-year Diploma of Holistic Nutrtion program. more>>

Part-Time & Non-Matriculating Study Options

Individuals wishing to learn more about Herbal Medicine without enrolling in a full program are welcome to take individual courses as non-matriculating students.
