School of Phytotherapy (Western Herbal Medicine)

Welcome to the School of Phytotherapy at Pacific Rim College. Phytotherapy is the study of Western Herbal Medicine. This course includes exploration classes of herbal plants and traditions from Europe and North America.

Phytotherapy Programs Offered at Pacific Rim College

Diploma of Phytotherapy - a 6-semester program that explores the medicinal uses of North American and European herbs. The program is comprised of both theoretical and practical courses, implementing advantages of hands-on study of plants. more>>

Dual Diplomas of Acupuncture and Phytotherapy - a 5-year program that combines our 3-year Diploma of Acupuncture program with our 3-year Diploma of Phytotherapy program. more>>

Community Herbalist Program - a unique 16-week program that introduces students to the incredible world of plants and their medicinal uses from various cultures. more>>

Part-Time & Non-Matriculating Study Options

Individuals wishing to learn more about Herbal Medicine without enrolling in a full program are welcome to take individuals courses as non-matriculating students.
