
The Jambiani Wellness Centre is a multidisciplinary medical clinic that opened in late 2002 to provide free health care to the villagers of Jambiani, Zanzibar. Since its inception the Wellness Centre has been host to over 40 volunteer practitioners from around the world, who have collectively treated more than 4000 villagers.
The Hands Across Borders Society (HABS) is a registered non-profit organization founded to provide health and education services to communities in need in developing parts of the world. HABS continues to play an integral part in the health and well being of the villagers of Jambiani, Zanzibar. In 2007 HABS opened a vocational school to educate local adults primarily about tourism and entrepreneurialism.
