Accreditation and Recognition

PCTIA

Pacific Rim College is an Accredited academic institution with the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia, which is the governing body of all private post-secondary academic institutions in the province.

CTCMA

The curricula for all diploma programs in the School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine meet or exceed the licensing standards set by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia. Registered Acupuncturist and Practitioners of Chinese Medicine in BC are permitted to practice throughout Canada.

CHA of BC

Graduates of the Diploma of Phytotherapy program are eligible for Professional Membership into the Canadian Herbalist Association of BC.

Yoga Alliance

Pacific Rim College is a Registered School of the Yoga Alliance at the 200- and 500-hour level. The Yoga Alliance is the national education and support organization for yoga in the United States. Graduates of the Foundations of Yogatherapy Certificate Program and of the Diploma of Eastern Therapies and Bodywork are recognized yoga teachers.

IAYT

Pacific Rim College is a member school of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. IAYT supports research and education in Yoga and serves as a professional organization for Yoga teachers and Yoga therapists worldwide.

CPP

The Diploma of Phytotherapy is recognized  by the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy, a professional membership organization of phytotherapists that sets the highest standards of practice in herbal medicine.  

AHG

Graduates of the Diploma of Phytotherapy are eligible for membership into the American Herbalists Guild, a non-profit educational organization representing herbalists and providing peer-review in US for professional herbalists specializing in the medicinal use of plants.

Canada Student Loans

Canadian students are eligible to apply for Canada Student Loans for all programs at PRC except for the Japanese Acupuncture Certificate Program. Please visit www.hrsdc.gc.ca for information about Canada Student Loans. Students must submit either an online application or a paper application for student loans. Please print an application from the Canada Student Loans website or pick up an application from PRC or any other academic institution registered with Canada Student Loans.
